Promoting Social Recognition, Higher Artistic Expression and Perfection of Ice Art

Established in 1994, the Canadian Ice Carvers’ Society (CICS) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization (formerly known as the Ottawa-Hull Ice Carvers Society). In keeping with its mission, CICS works in partnership with federal agencies and community groups to deliver ice carving demonstrations, educational workshops, and in creating large scale ice art exhibits for various events to promote social recognition, higher artistic expression and technical perfection of ice art. Over the years, CICS has steadily been working towards becoming a national body to represent and promote ice art across Canada.(more)
